Kids are little sponges. They soak in everything they see and hear. We are told this all the time and it is true. Kids take in everything. It is an interesting analogy, as sponges can get gross over time. Does that mean are kids are taking in the bad stuff along with the good and are impacted by it? Unfortunately, they are!
Do you have a little animal loving tweet-heart? Are animals your little one’s pup-of tea? If so, then I’m not lion when I tell you they will love Zoobooks! We recently received our first issue and we are toad-ally in love.

Valentine’s Day is one of my favorite times of year. I know it is a very commercial holiday, but I love how excited kids get about this day. I have fond memories of exchanging valentines and I know my kids love it too.
Raise your hand if you are tired of snow and cold weather. Luckily, here in Colorado it hasn’t been too bad this year. That doesn’t mean I’m not up for a little more sunshine and few more park days. Groundhog day is here and we will find out if spring is upon us or we will have six more weeks of frigid weather. Brrr…
We recently read The Josefina Story Quilt by Eleanor Coerr and Bruce Degen. It is a very sweet story about a girl and her beloved hen.
Do you have a little artist at your house? I know I do! Even if you don’t, your little one will love Ralph Masiello’s Ocean Drawing Book. It is full of step by step instructions for drawing fun ocean life. Everything from sea horses to humpback whales. So much fun!

Today we read Albert’s Thanksgiving by Leslie Tryon. This is a cute story of all that is to be done in Pleasant Valley before the upcoming Thanksgiving feast. Patsy Pig uses letters to remind Albert of all the tasks that she needs him to complete, everything from making the table to the cross-legged turkey. With all of the crazy last minute tasks and letter writing they have forgotten about the vegetables. Will they pull together and get the vegetables harvested in time for the feast? Read this adorable story to find out what happens!
