Up, Up and Away!

I once had the pleasure of winning a hot air balloon ride. Yes, you heard that right, I won a hot air balloon ride! Let me tell you, it was absolutely AMAZING! I entered the contest without telling anyone and with my little girl in mind. She is a little dreamer and had been telling my husband and me that she wanted to ride in a hot air balloon since she was able to talk. We started taking her to our local balloon glow and launch before she was two, and ever since, she had dreamed of riding in a hot air balloon and touching the clouds.

I am not what I refer to as a squishy person. I love my friends and family but I do not openly show my love in a squishy way except with my kids. I squish them all day! I grew up in a family of non-squishy people. My family is not cold but less affectionate than some. I have thought about it and often wished I was different.

We have been working on U.S. geography over here at Let’s Learn With Style. Although I love it, I have to admit I am no Alexander von Humboldt. I am more of a “take me where the wind leads me” kind of girl. Since my daughter has a wild spirit and an amazing sense of adventure I really need to nail this subject down.
