If you are going to the movies, a ballgame, a carnival or Target (my favorite, ha-ha) popcorn will most likely be one of the snacks offered. It is tasty and enjoyed by most people!

In the 1600’s popcorn was used as a headdress for Aztec ceremonies. Corn was originally known as maize and was the most common grain.

Popcorn became popular in the United States in the mid 1800’s. Charles Cretors created a machine that popped the corn making it more accessible. By the 1900’s it was being sold on the streets of Chicago.
