Teach Your Kids Jazz Greats
Read Acoustic Rooster and His Barnyard Band Before It's Too Late

Acoustic Rooster and His Barnyard Band by Kwame Alexander is a great introduction to jazz greats for little ones. It includes a jazz glossary, information on some of music’s greatest jazz artists and an amazing jazz timeline. I was positively delighted as I read this book to my daughter.

This jazz loving rooster is out to win the barnyard talent show and knows he can’t do it alone. He looks to friends such as Duck Ellington, Poncho Ernesto Cruz (otherwise known as Pork-chop) and none other than Bee Holiday to give him a hand. Will he bring home a win against talents like Mules Davis and Ella Finchgerald? Pick up this charming book and find out why I’m singing its praises.

Awesome!! It’s great to read them a book about jazz because then you can play the music to go along with it and the book kind of comes to life. I love the little instrument project, too!!
