Get Your Motor Running With Your Kids
10 Activities to Make Your Kids Forget About Screen Time

We are only a few weeks into summer vacation and my daughter has already asked for screen time more than I care to admit. She normally loves playing outside but this summer it is all about technology. She has a beautiful imagination so I have decided screen time is out and creativity is in. It hasn’t been completely taken away but it is on lockdown and must be earned!

Unwavering Friendship
Lessons From Wisteria Lane

On the recommendation of a friend I recently started watching the women of Wisteria Lane. That’s right, those Desperate Housewives. I love them! I love them not only for their crazy antics and endless mysteries but, most of all, for their unwavering friendship.

Say No to Snow People
25 Activities for Summer Time Fun

Summer vacation is here for many and just around the corner for others. I am going to be first in line for all of the summer fun! My flip-flops are all lined up and ready to go. Don’t get me wrong, I love the other seasons too. The problem is, this year, old man winter has over-stayed his welcome. Just a few weeks ago I was sledding and building snow people. I am saying no to snow people…at least until October or November. I’m ready for fresh cut grass, sidewalk chalk, bubbles, the sound of birds in my backyard and swimming in the pool.

The 5 Playroom Must-Haves

Playrooms are both a blessing and a curse in a lot of ways. It’s a blessing to have a home big enough to have space designated to nothing but entertainment and learning for your children. It can also be a curse. Kids tend to be messy so playrooms can often become Lego and Matchbox death traps. How do you balance these two? You design a playroom that can grow with your kids, keep them entertained, help them learn and inspire creativity…yet is easy for your kids to clean up after themselves in. Sound impossible? It’s not! These five things you can do with your child’s playroom will take it to the next level.

Plant a Seed… Upcycle With Chick-Fil-A
Creating Chick-See Hollow With My Daughter

We are huge fans of Chick-fil-A. We love the food but there are so many other things that keep us loyal to Chick-fil-A. We go there weekly for Kids Club and have been known to show up the next day for Story and Craft Time. Several of the employees know my daughter and me by name. You could say this is due to excessive visits, but I prefer to call it excellent customer service.ChickSeeHollow1_2 Continue reading
